The Adobe PDF browser plug-in is free, so why should I use PDFWebViewer.NET?
When a user views a PDF document using a PDF browser plug-in, the PDF is actually downloaded to the client and the user is able to save the PDF document locally. PDFWebViewer.NET does not download the PDF to the browser. Instead, an image of the current view is generated server-side and only the image is sent to the client. This way you keep maximum control over your PDF documents.
What browsers are supported?
PDFWebViewer.NET is compatible with all popular browsers including Internet Explorer 7.0, Internet Explorer 8.0, FireFox 3.0, Opera 9.6, Chrome 2.0 and Safari 3.2.
Can the user modify the remote PDF?
Can I fill out or edit form fields?
Can I customize the look and feel so that it blends in with my own web site?
Yes, the look and feel can be customized using custom images and CSS styles.
What are the server requirements?
IIS with ASP.NET and Microsoft .NET 2.0 or higher.
